Cafe Style Shutters - The Best of Both Worlds
This style of shutter differs from its shutter compatriots in that they are half the size. They do not cover the entire window and you’re probably asking “why on earth would I want that?”, but we promise there are many perfectly good reasons.
Cafe style shutters are THE perfect way to maximise the integrity of feature windows whilst still giving you the ability to maintain privacy and still allow plenty of natural light into your home. This uniqueness offers the luxury of an ‘open’ feel throughout the home, and will help your property to stand out and can entice potential buyers or those looking to rent because it’s quite the modern touch.
Cafe Style Shutters
for Bay Windows
Cafe style shutters are a great window treatment for 1930s style bay windows. If you are not looking for full privacy, the shutters can be measured up to the fanlight break in the bay windows. Unlike our full height plantation shutters, the beauty of the café style is that they only cover the bottom half of the window. So whilst maintaining privacy for your home, you can still enjoy the warming glow of the summer sun and let natural light flood in
Cafe style shutters allow for a curtain rail to be used in conjunction with the shutters, or even more popular, the use of roman blinds, creating a homely feel to any room in the house.
Cafe Style Shutters
or Full Height Shutters
When it comes to picking the style and design of your shutters, there are three main louvred types of shutter to choose from. Full Height, Tier on Tier and Cafe Style!
Each style has its own unique benefits and works well or better in certain situations and in different rooms. If you are looking for maximum privacy and low light in a room full height shutters will certainly do the job! However, if you seek the chic shutter look but also want to enjoy a sunlit room go for the cafe style! If you’re unsure about which style of shutter will best suit your room, our team will be more than happy to help you get the right fit. You can contact us at any time.
Beyond being absolutely perfect for windows and doors, track shutters also work well as room dividers for spacious and open plan homes.
